Jordan Hale

Jordan brings her robust government experience to the Gothams Team. Jordan served as Texas Governor Abbott’s Deputy Chief of Staff from2018-2023, where she oversaw almost 300 employees and an operating budget of upto $13B.  She was the Governor’s liaison for the Texas Military Department and Texas Adjutant General and oversaw the numerous divisions within the Office of the Governor, including the Texas Military Preparedness Commission, the Economic Development and Tourism Office, the Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities, the Office of the First Lady, the Governor’s Mansion, all Administrative Divisions, and the Women’s Commission.   Jordan was at the table fordecisions regarding the most pressing policy issues and emergencies facing the State of Texas.   For over 16 years ,Jordan worked for Governor Abbott, beginning work when Abbott was the AttorneyGeneral.  Jordan served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Texas Attorney General’s Open Records Division and later moved to the General Counsel Division of the OAG, specializing in Public Information and coordinating with 38 divisions of the OAG. She transitioned to Governor Abbott’s gubernatorial team in 2015 as an Assistant General Counsel then became the Director of Administration in 2016, and Deputy Chief of Staffin 2018.  Jordan has also worked for two Senators in the United States Senate. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri and a law degree from Southern Methodist University.  She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
